Best metal since 1994 besides Slough Feg.

But you are making a progress not calling it crap.

Because it's not crap, but more or less average. But I'd like to see where they would stand if they'd not release their stuff like they did but in an official way. I'd prefer Skull Fist for example. They (TOM) are for sure not the best band of post-94er Metal era.

I really like TOM, think it sounds very unique in both music and vocals. I prefer their 2nd album much more over the first one, as the songs stuck in my ear. Moreover, with "The Armor Of The Sun" it has one of my favourite US Metal songs of the last decade....
Skull Fist is probably my favourite newer band (along with Doomed Beast, but they have not released an album yet), great energetic Heavy Metal with memorable tracks....

Less people would have hated them out of sheer principle that's for sure.
Imagine another thing, if their releases would have been as rare as they are now, but released in the 80's instead. They would be cult as fuck and everybody would hunt for them. :)
Chroming Rose “Pressure” LP found! :D

I wouldn't "hunt" for them ... because (that's my opinion) they got a bit too much modern influences in their style though they do try hard to sound like in the 80's. Basically not bad, but f.e. Skull Fist and perhaps a few other bands new bands can do that better.
But you see if you release your stuff in a home pressed edition of 35,4 copies and sent out the shit for free to the "chosen ones" who just can't wait to put it up on ebay, you can create an own cult around your band. If they just would realize that 70 or 80 % of the "chosen ones" don't want the records and they would sent it to guys who really love their stuff and do keep the records I would at least see a sense in their action. It it sad for the band in the first because they just spend a fortune for pressing the stuff (they have to throw away most of the edition that they have paid for!), pay the postage and make the chosen new owner (who does not want at all) get some free cash at ebay! In a tragic way it's ridiculous ... unless they are super rich and don't need to care about money. There are surely guys out there who deserve that honor more than those who immediately sell the free stuff as soon as it arrives. Maybe I'm a too sensitive moralist but ... I just don't get it.
