Records pressed in S. Korea only

Post by Sgt. Kuntz »

I'm interested in albums, that were only released in South Korea by non-korean bands. Sounds complicated, but here is what i found so far:

AGRESSOR - Towards Beyond 1993
BARRACUDA - Open fire 1991 ?
DREAM THEATER - Live At The Marquee 1993
IMPELLITERI - Grin And Bear It 1992
METAL CHURCH - Hanging In The Balance 1993
PRAYING MANTIS - Predator In Disguise 1991 (also Japan)
RUNNER - Falling Hearts 1991
SAVATAGE - Edge Of Thorns 1993
SAXON - Live 1991
SHADOW GALLERY - Shadow Gallery 1992

Any more?

Do you count bootlegs released by approved labels or just licensed releases?

And I assume you mean only LPs? Because I know a lot of the CD versions of these albums were pressed in USA etc.

The BARRACUDA is released as "Memory" LP.
I knew of the Greek bootleg LP of Edge of thorns, is there a Korean pressing as well? Are you sure?

Anyway here are some more Korean vinyl exclusives:

BAD MOON RISING - same
MARTY FRIEDMAN - Scenes
MAGELLAN - Hour of restoration
YNGWIE MALMSTEEN - The seventh sign
BLUE MURDER - Nothiin' but trouble
GARY HUGHES - Strength of heart
JACKAL - Vague vision

I think that there were some more, i'll have to check my records more thoroughly. Sorry for the inclusion of Impelliteri, just saw you already listed it.

Great, thanks for the input. I knew of JACKAL, but somehow forget to include it. Need to find it as well for my collection.

No, sadly i'm not 100% sure of the SAVATAGE "Edge Of Thorns" LP. I only recently heard from two different sources, that there is a legal LP, pressed in Japan or more likely in S. Korea.

As far as i know, it was never legally released in vinyl format. The only version that exists is the Greek bootleg.
