Very true, it is a real stinker, but if that was their raison d'etre then why not come up with better sleeves for all their releases?

That cover epitomizes the budget, DIY aesthetic that was the standard for most bands even after being signed to a label. Basically everything Metal stood for until major ones tried to exploit it.
