Thanatos is printed on creamy yellow paper and the case has a sticker with "Zuid-Hollandse popunie". The tape itself is a regular one, brandless, and just long enough to hold all music (so no standard C-45 or something).
Just to finish, a bunch of tapes I picked up last month, more black metal orientated:

Keep 'em coming! Here are just two lousy scans because I suck and that's all I can do now.
No way I can match a 2500+ demo collection, but here are some pretty hard to find tapes/recordings that I love dearly instead (maybe posted some of those already, I'm not sure).
The one w/o a proper cover is an Onslaught rehearsal from 1984 with some live/demo tracks. A few songs in early versions that made to the debut LP (Thermonuclear, Witch Hunt, Skullcrusher), but most tracks are from the early D-beat Hardcore era.
The silly b/w band pic one is a Wasted (Den) promo demo incl. demo 1983 & demo 1984. The 1983 demo is more Hard/Heavy (lightweight NWOBHM alike) style but not bad.
The sweaty band pic one is an old Salem promo. I got this from user bastard priest. Cheers!

Seriously, the guy who sold you these tapes in a whole lot must be a complete idiot. I've have the majority of these demos too (more Black Metal based) and there are original demos of bands like Hades, Evol, Necrony, Demigod, Moonblood, Liar of Golgotha, Varathron, Primigenium, Forgotten Woods, Abigail, Behemoth (total masterpiece) etc ... that are worth hundreds and hundreds of $$ ...
How much did you pay for them? Surely a bargain ...

A bargain indeed, but not the best bargain of my life. Ended up paying around €3/tape. Which is a lot less than what you'd pay individually, but still a lot of money to couch up in one time.
The guy had no idea that people were still listening to tapes. He also had a very impressive vinyl collection, and I'll be able to post some of it in the recent vinyl scores thread in a few weeks
Strangly enough I found out this is the rarest tape in my collection:
A few years ago one of my friends contacted me and asked if I wanted to buy some last remains of his record collection as he lost interest in the genre. So I picked up the records and he asked if I wanted his tapes too. Some Agathocles things, thrash metal albums, and this tape which he said was Type o negative. It ended up somewhere at the bottom of my boxes together with other worthless tapes.
Till I was browsing ebay last month and noticed an ended auction, of that very tape, which sold for $500. Turns out this is more or less the Type-o-negative holy grail. Demo-version of Slow, deep and hard spread in very limited quantities when the band was still using a different name.
Soon to be sold on ebay.

Haha ... I had a kinda same experience in the 90's when the friend of a friend wanted to get rid of his old demo tapes. He sent it to my friend and he wasn't interested either. He sent me the whole shit (about 40 tapes) and there was original Mordred, Dead Conspiracy, Legacy, Forbidden Evil, Sacred Reich, Tyrranicide, Artillery, Annihilator and all such stuff in the parcel. In the first when I pulled out the Legacy tape I thought he was joking or something ... I couldn't trust my eyes.
It's not easy to be the Antichrist ...
Nowadays you certainly need some luck to find good things. Many people want to buy their demotapes on ebay but in my opinion that is probably the worst place to acquire them. 75% of what is offered there are bootlegs, and most of it sells for too high prices.
Old metalheads getting rid of their collections are the way to go (for everything really, also old vinyls and shirts).
