Medieval - Medieval (US)

Post by Memnarch »

I picked up the self titled EP on New Renaissance today for extremely cheap in a second hand store today. I had briefly heard of the band before but don't know anything about them. How rare is this EP? i can't seem to find much information on it. If anybody has any info that'd be great thanks.

The clear vinyl version is slightly harder to get, but not that rare in any case. Expect maybe around 25-35 USD depending on condition and whether it is on clear or black wax.

Their "Medieval Kills" LP is one of the coolest albums ever, and definitely my fave from this band.

great band! the best record is "All Knobs To The Right". The demos are pretty rare compared to the vinyls ,though.

Great band!
One of my all time fave!
Also the first demo ('medieval') is great, from the opener 'Dreamer' to the end :-)

Love it!

Medieval is also one of my favorite bands. All Knobs... is their release I like the best (specially for the "Black Assassin" version that's much heavier than the one on the LP) but all of them are pretty fucking great. Their first demo was more classic hard rock/heavy metal than their following material although you already find some of those heavy and raw as fuck songs like "Medieval".
You can download both demos from goodbadmusic:

my favorite is the anthem "All Knobs To The Right". this version has a great "eat shit!" during one break in the song. It's missing on the LP what the hell man

Yeah, "eat shit" is another of the moments that makes the All Knobs... demo their best.

cool band first heard them on Speed Metal Hell comp way back, some of first underground metal I heard.

Picked up test presses of the 12" and LP on ebay for $5 each a while back, I think they were just listed under general music and I only found them because I looked up "test press*", think the guy selling them was their manager?

I also have test pressings, clear vinyl, both the original demos and so on...used to have spare 'all knobs..', too bad I've traded my spares away time ago :-(

Did you know there's also a red vinyl acetate (hype) in strictly limited pressing?...this one I sadly don't have though :-)
