Back in the '90s a second pressing of Anvil Chorus could be found at German mailorders. Here are the basic differences:

The first photo is the original. As you can see the second pressing is darker and has a thin vertical line through girl's knee (obviously from the scanning).
This is not so obvious to all the second press copies.

As for the labels, first photo is the original. Totally different letter font and different shade of red.

Also most of the second press copies came with a xerox Kerrang article.

I don't know if it was a legit reissue or a bootleg, but in the '90s it was extremely easy to find and cheap, mainly through a particular German mailorder.

Ok
Now I am really confused

Can you tell from the matrix??

I have 2 copies in front of me.
One with the line and one without the line.
BUT both vinyls are the same.

interesting, didn't know of a 2nd press of A.C. 7", looks like I have the 2nd, though that 'line' is almost invisible. I doubt if this is a bootleg but more likely a 2nd pressing. are the matrix codes different. It has to be a US pressing either way.

Matrix is the same to both copies. Basic difference is the labels.
The font used is totally different, the color is different and the positioning of the Band name and song title is different.

Could be a legit repress because the matrix's are the same. But it is an early '90s repress.

Most apparent difference: Notice the text to the left of the centre hole. On the "first pressing" you have 5 lines of text, on the 2nd 4 lines of text.

Well I would really like to get to the bottom of this.
With a real answer.

There are defiantly 2 diff. labels in your pics But the rest I don't know.

Like I said I have PS#1 and PS#2 both the Disc #2

Nightblood was here yesterday and can defiantly confirm that much

For them to be the same Matrix is a little hard.
As plates for the most part are not made for reusing, They can be but you have to know this the first time and pay (A Lot) more for a steel plate instead of Aluminum which is done 90% of the time. I would not have thought someone doing a private 45 would have paid for a steel plate.

But they could have with no problem.

Jim & I got 8-10 copies in the early 90's from there maniger, all with press folders and Pic's. I don't have these any more but would like to know what that looked like.

Anyone with any more info please let us know

PS: The Pic at the Rockadrom site (Who has known the band since day one and released the CD) has the Line (No pic of the label) I sent him an email

Can confirm what GLockose's copies are like. Both copies of the record are exactly the same, but one is in a pic sleeve with the line running through her knee and the other copy is in a sleeve with no line. Both sleeves are printed using the same type of glossy paper.

According to Metalpage.de the second pressing of the single was released in 1986.
Don't know if this information may be helpful.
