well there is plenty of canadian interest in several mexican regions ,rich in minerals,and yup, oil too...the difference is that Canadian government hasnt come up with the "war thing" yet
but ebay "selling" is good chance for sellers from such countries as like Iceland, South Korea etc. for example, last year 1 USD was about 800 Korean WON, but now 1 USD is over 1400 WON.

Interest and blatant theft are two very different things.
Also, ever heard of the Alberta Oil Sands?
I really don't think that Canada as a whole is too concerned in drilling that far away for oil when we are already a world supplier in what we already have.

It's strange how the trouble in the US economy makes the US dollar strong vs. the Canadian + other currencies. I understand why it is, with commodity prices falling (and Canada's economy being so much in resources) and with investors being worried and shifting investments into US money and things you need US money for, but it's still bizarre that Canada is doing relatively well compared to the US and, because of that, the value of the money is plummeting. It has affected noticeably what I can afford to buy.
