VST EFFECTS

Post by ironchains »

Does anybody knows about VST effects?
someone to share experience about using VST effects in home made recordings?
im average using cool edit/adobe audition, so would be great if someone has/uses some vst for guitar recording or something...
i recently bought an soundblaster audiocard, audigy series, and i found some effect called guitar rig based in vst but its unsopported for Adobe Audition 2.0..

What kind of effects do you want?
Isn't it easier to buy actual effect pedals?
But does it slay witches?

ironchains: acquire by any means you deem correct Native Instruments' Guitar Rig 3. I do still suggest an external, actual distortion pedal for good end tone if you want HEAVY METAL CRUNCH, but it does almost eeeeeverything else perfectly. No real amps required, guitar jacked straight to soundcard. If your soundcard is halfway decent in its Analog to Digital signal conversion, you can do small wonders in such a setup.
