I was thinking of Black Death by Brocas Helm btw. I got the feeling you were thinking of Black Death's S/T album - if so, I kind of agree. Still, those anthems slay in such a major way you couldn't live without that album anyway.

I refer to stuff like Adramelch
Well ,actually no .I am refering to Black Death by Brocas Helm .Fly High ,Black Death and Satan's Prophets (best track imo in the lp) are G-R-E-A-T ! The rest is so'n'so but no auwful that's for sure.
The Auburn Black Death kick major assess .One of my obscure favs that's for sure.
And ,yeah ,my "love" for Adramelch is globaly known. Nver regreted for giving away the lp .........

Btw, on the trip down to Muskelrock I passed by the home town of OVERDETH and managed to pick up an extra copy of their CD in a local store. Up for trade.

I have to agree with The Sentinel on Hammerfall. They have everything one could dream except balls: a sound of steel, great musicians but friggin boring contrived shite.
close runner-ups would be Conquest of Steel but I'm not even mentioning the tons of plastic metal bands featured in glossy magazines
some bands, whether you like them or not, don't deserve to be featured here :Living Death, Brocas Helm, Voivod, Slayer... tout fout le camp!
It always amazes me how so many metalhead heandbang to angsty, chest-stomping macho bullshit bands like Pantera and what ever. Tribal tattoos, 14y old "tough guy" attitude, half-riffs and GrrrooooOOvy one string jamming with downtuned guitars that should've been left in rehearsal room. Please give me some real Heavy Metal quick!
