Italian Doom/Dark-Sound Masters ARPIA

Post by DaN »

This band has been in my perifiral vision for ages, but merely as "that cool demo band on a cdr I played once, loved, and then forgot about"/cool comp-appearance item ...until I made an unrelated order from the Mintotauro webshop and noticed all 3 of their early demos was recently released on vinyl! Grabbed all 3 releases and they've been #1 on my playlist for last 2 month now.

Honestly, I can't think of ANY other band that deserve the epitome Underrated 80's Doom Metal Masters than The Mighty ARPIA!

I will present proof, and then dare you to prove me wrong:

This is excellent stuff - thank you.

The last ~1:30 of the Bianco Zero track is prog/doom perfection.

Cool u enjoyed them! Yeah, that 3rd demo might be my fave by an ever so small margin. They really sound decades before their time with this unique style and I think they beat so many album-releasing "Italian Dark Sound" acts from this era (looking at you, The Black  )
