Another mystery track! (Teutonic(?) Speed Metal)

Post by DaN »

...since I know everybody loves these types of challenges :D

I recently got this mystery track from a friend, recorded off German radio '..at NDR2 "Saturday Night Special" (radio) or maybe DT64 "Tendenz hart bis heavy"' in December 1987. This sounds similar to a lot of classic/kült bands but I can't really place it myself - Hilfe!

My first thought was Sweet Cheater due to the simlar style but vocals won't match.
And it definitely wasn't recorded from the "Tendenz Hard bis Heavy". They didn't play that kind of stuff in 1987. I remember them having a show with czech bands featured around late 1988/89 and a few was Demo trax, but 1987 they didn't play western demos at all, only vinyl stuff or GDR Demos. The western demos was added late in 1989 when the wall was opened. And I don't really remember any german Speed/Thrash band on vinyl sounding like this sample so I'd say it's a demo cut and therefore the NDR 2 show would fit in way better.
It's not easy to be the Antichrist ...

Symilar also to Creed's "In The Night" of 1988.
