How about this one?
Post ten best thrash metal tracks ever made in your opinion, simple as that.
Here is my list:

Razor - Take this torch
Razor - Legacy of doom
Slayer - Altar of Sacrfice
Kreator - Flag of Hate
Sodom - Deathlike Silence
Turbo - Anioł zła
Xecutioner- Find the Arise
Thrash Forward - Massive Retaliation
Tetament - Curse of the Legions of Death
Violent Force - Sign of Evil

I decided not to include songs like Sarcofago "Black Vomit" or Poison "Slaves of the Crucifix", but if you think this kind of stuff is thrash metal all right, feel free to add it to your list.

I wouldn't label those Razor tracks as Thrash Metal. The first few Razor albums were pretty much exclusively Speed Metal up until the transitional "Custom Killing". After that they became more thrash oriented with every following record.

I don't mean to derail this thread with a sub-genre debate but it's a pet peeve of mine. Seeing albums like the first Metallica, Anthrax or Slayer described as thrash makes me wonder how much thrash people have actually listened to.

Hmmm only 10

Well, this is the list. Ask me again in three month time and it might not
look exactly the same (there are more than 10 songs in the "best" pot.

Terrasphere - What was and will be again (of cource)
Coroner - Mistress Of Deception
Sindrome - Into the halls of extermination
Holy Terror - Do unto others
Sabbat - Wildfire
Dark Angel- Burning of sodom
Sepultura - Slaves of pain (or R.I.P)
Destruction - Curse the gods (1st ver)
Suicidal Tendencies - Lost again (yes it´s thrash on this album)
Death Angel - Voracious souls

(When I think of it) A few for sentimental reasons more than excellency

Whether Executioner's Song" is thrash is up for debate (some songs are rather not, especially that merry "Fast and Loud"), but "Take this Torch" sounds so powerful and aggressive that it deserves a special treatment for me. And I can see I am not the only one who worships that track as several bands, among them some black/death "butchers", have made a cover of it (obviously this is NOT an argument for it being thrash).
But I fail to see (or hear) how "Evil Invaders" can't belong here.

just why exactly didn't Thrash Forward make it big if it's so good is beyond me... Judging by your lists it should have been up there with Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax... But then Again Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax can only dream of making it to your lists. So I think I will find many allies when I say that Thrash Forward is indeed the undisputed champion of Thrash Metal? your comments below.

It lacks the crunchy riffs that are the essential characteristic of thrash, rather focusing more on the speed element. Not that it's a bad thing, just a different style. Compare "Evil Invaders" as a whole to "Bonded By Blood" of the same year and you will understand.

They're simply one of the best unsigned bands regardless of genre. The '90 demo easily crushes 95% of the material the major bands put out during their entire career. It's so fucking metal it brings you down to your knees. Check out also the demo 2009 on youtube, it's material written back in 1991 and it's killer as well.

BTW, I'm looking for the Thrash Forward shirt that Proselytism was selling a few years ago. If anyone can help, except Proselytism himself who doesn't seem to bother anymore, please contact me.

Difficult question.. there are lots and lots of Grade A-thrash metal, but to name the ones that lies close to my heart:

MORBID SAINT - Scars
SACRILEGE - At Death's Door
DARK ANGEL - (Death is Certain) Life is Not
CORONER - Nosferatu
DEMOLITION HAMMER - Pyroclastic Annihilation (a band that actually made it through the early 90s compared to other acts)
HALLOWS EVE - Hallows Eve
SEPULTURA - From the Past Comes the Storm
MERCILESS - Realm of the Dark
MORTAL SIN - Lebanon
POSSESSED - Holy Hell

Would you consider Helstar thrash? I'd say Nosferatu is one sweet piece..'Aieliara and Everonn' - just wow!

One of my favourites too. I just love that song/album. I´d say it´s not thrash though.
It´s easy to be fooled by the fast "Yngwiefied" riffing
