Is there much of a difference?
You can hear here: http://black-death.bandcamp.com Seems he had to master it from a vinyl copy, hence some slight pitch variation, but he's done a very good clean-up job & it definitely packs a whack.

Cheers. I guessed there wouldn't be that much of a difference. Thankfully!

Anyone have any other recordings from this band? I really like both tracks that are on youtube.

good choices, I put that VV EP really high myself.

Texas Metal Archives is possible the best comp to come out in many years, given the narrow focus. Pity it did not do well enough to justify a sequel, it needs one.

Unfortunately, most of the times, compilations are a commercial suicide. Too bad indeed. A second part would have been great.

I am not really into newer stuff, that EP is great though. Can't say I put it in any top list of mine because I can barely find 2-3 things that I really like each year. Very convincing and the feeling is as authentic as it can possibly get 30 years later. I only wish they improve their choruses a little bit on their next effort, although "Curse From Obsidian Realm" chorus is killer. Singer reminds me a lot of Hansi Kursch in his Battalions Of Fear days.

As long as TMU keeps releasing hot TX underground metal, a vol. 2 is not really essential. Unless of course we are talking about ultra obscure stuff that kicks ass. Vol.1 is fantastic is any case.
