Has Formel I been mentioned yet?
I also like Heavens Gate (follow-up to Steeltower, same singer) and Battlefield, Pink Cream 69 and Czakan (melodic). Monroxe (think early Warlock) is lesser known ...
That's not really correct, they have been the heaviest but best are still the Merlin and Hardholz trax on the Speed Up compilation. Biest at live gigs had been a bit disastrous. On the 7" they used a drum computer btw (decision of the studio owner and producer). Also the aforementioned Formel 1 had been great live and on vinyl, though more NWOBHM clones. Their 7" is a little gem. Too bad that their album was live, though it has really great sound.mordred wrote:Biest was the best band from the DDR that released anything on vinyl in the 80's. They put out a four track 7" in 1987. Great speed metal sung in German.

I know these but I like Biest more. Also, since this compilation was released 1990 you could argue it doesn't challenge my actual statement, that Biest was the best DDR band that relesed something on vinyl... in the 80's.Prowler wrote:Hardholz (epic Power Metal):

"Could" is correct. 2 days left, so let's see for how much this is being sold.LethylSteel wrote:Could be cheap for those who does not have a copy yet:
