Peruvian Metal History - new Corro feature!

Post by jnfernal »

I'm hijacking Francesco's old thread to now be the official one concerning our new Peruvian Metal History-feature.
(old name of thread: "Unknown peruvian heavy metal (?) from the 80's") /aDmiN

Now on-line! :D

Anybody knows this band here?

http://girlsfromtahiti.blogspot.com/201 ... -peru.html

Ali Baba....the cover "As de espadas" is "Motorhead's "Ace of spades" of course and it's also well done. The A side is crap.

Do you think it is enough to call them "heavy metal" though they only played a cover song that thousand of bands at the time may have covered as well?

Do you have more information about this band ??

I heard this band some weeks ago, and is also very unknow for the Heavy Metal people of the 80s. I think because this band was for other city (La Oroya, Junin).

This single is released for the Mag label (yeah, we used to have record companies here...), this label released "hit" songs played by session musicians and make fake bands only to put the songs to the radio, this can be the case too.

Other Peruvian band who need to be know:

Almas Inmortales - Mensajero de los Cielos

That song is from a 1996 album. I doubt they sounded like that when they formed. Good song though.

I heard this song from the demo split with sentencia recorded in the 80s with all the cavern and primitive sound.

Actually their first album (unreleased) should be "El valle del miriamento interior"

Anyway this CD looks interesting: there's their unreleased 1996 album + the "Nivel de vida" Demo 1996

Only "El valle del miriamento interior" and the "Birro el morbido" Demo, as well as the split tape with Demencia remain unreleased yet

OK, 'El Valle del Miramiento Interior' is still unreleased (i dont know is a rehearsal or a album) but Espiritus Inmundos want to released in CD.

Yeah the CD 'Del Azar a la Creacion' was recorded in 1995 and with 2 bonus tracks and the demo 'Nivel de Vida' actually recorded in 1993.

I dont know nothing about the 'Birro el Mobido' demo but the "En Honor a la Demencia" split demo was released in tape in 1990.
