ATTACKER
ATTACKER
I couldn't really bring myself to respond to the "one really good album" thread, but I thought the discussion about Attacker was interesting and decided they deserve their own thread.
I had heard some Attacker before, but didn't really become interested in them until I picked up The Second Coming on a whim about 3 years ago. Perhaps it was Bob Mitchell's voice that had kept me away before but I loved that album the moment I heard it and I still play it quite often. I've since learned to like all of their albums but that is the one that will always be my favorite.

"The Second Coming" hands down.
This is a US Power Metal masterpiece in my opinion. The only real complaint that I have about the album is that it's too damn short. The songs could definitely have been longer to further expand on the great arrangements on this album. Aside from the "Reign In Blood" syndrome that this album suffers from I really have nothing bad to say about it. I was boggled and left questioning if this new j.k. guy has actually even heard the album before when commenting that "Battle At Helm's Deep" was the bands "one really good album". Don’t get me wrong, that album slays as well but the band definitely found they’re place with "The Second Coming".
10/10 album for me.

Battle At Helm's Deep.
As for The Second Coming, I don't like the general sound (especially the drums), and the vocals don't turn me on.
