So which album by PA (if any) stands out from the others?

I love them all but I keep on coming back to Volume 1 more so than the others.

I can't choose one, really. They all have different qualities and strengths and they are all superb. I tend to listen most to Mythical and Magical though.

Hard to choose !! The 3 albums are very close. I've finally voted for Lords of Hypocrisy, which is P.A. album I spin more often those last months.

I don't like the sound of Volume I, but the music is great on all records. I chose LoH for the apocalypticness.

Lords of Hypocrisy it is for me too. Agree with Becka Lax on the sound on Vol 1. I don't know how to play that one loud without ending up with tinnitus and headache. And I even practiced with the bootleg vinyl for a few years before it was officially released.

The Time Lord MLP is neat too.

The three albums are all great, al worthy of being dubbed "classic". I chose the debut, but it's probably nostalgia. They are clearly different albums, but when it comes to quality, they are pretty evenly matched.

Dunno how people can vote them being boring... What are they listening to?

I like Vol. 1 since it's the most classic, but M&M is the better of the two newest albums I think, the guitar work... what every lead guitarist should ultimately aspire to.

I find it very hard to choose a favourite and couldn't be bothered annoying myself thinking about it too much. They are all excellent and they are one of the only bands that I could listen to everyday.

A new album to add to that list is what I want :D

I enjoy 'Volume 1' and 'Lords of Hypocrisy' in parts, the vocals on 'Mythical and Magical' simply cross the line when it comes to being annoying, and music ain't too metal; which wouldn't bother me much otherwise but when people call it some metal masterpiece it does.

Mythical & Magical, really just because it was the first one I heard. They're all pretty close to each other quality wise..
