I'll have to agree on Satan's Fall for sure + Manowar's Guyana
Candlemass - Demon's Gate
Overkill - Playing With Spiders/Skullkrusher
and of course Alexander the Great!
You want it to be one way. But it's the other way.

Didn't see these:

Lazarus Sin - Out Of The Box
Metalucifer - Iron 'n' Steel 'n' Metal
Longings Past - An Angel's Tale
Mordor - Live Faster, Die Young
Honorable mention to Vault's Too Young To Fight even though it's a bit short at just 6 minutes. Love the vocals on that.

It's not really metal but Magnum's 'Don't wake the lion' is one of my fav long tracks, it's got the word 'epic' written all over it, methinks!

Messiah - Ascension of a Divine Ordinance (thinking man's death metal, if you like)
Axe - Battles (epic hard rock classic from `79)
Enslaved - Slaget I Skogen Bortenfor (epic black / viking metal)
Carnivore - The Sub-human (I love this band)
Forsaken - Daylight Dies (doom metal, fantastic riff)
Seventh Angel - Katie (a melancholic thrash metal song)
Bathory - Man of Iron
Kansas - Icarus - Borne on Wings of Steel
Fifth Angel - Wings of Destiny
Tyrant - Listen to the Preacher (not very long, but very epic!)
Graven Image - Leif's Saga
Saxon - The Eagle has landed
Skullview - Palace of the boundless Cold
Rainbow - Stargazer
Lord Weird Slough Feg - The Great Ice Wars
Iron Cross - Fantasy World
Doc Holliday - Lonesome Guitar
Molly Hatchet - Fall of the Peacemakers

And does Q5 - Steal the Light qualifies itself as a epic metal song? I would say yes, brilliant tune!
Where were you in '79 when the dam began to burst

Well I don't know exactly what do you mean with "epic", but these are some of my favorites:

Jag Panzer - The Crucifix
Satan - Avalanche of a Million Hearts (and well, almost the entire Suspended Sentence album)
Helloween - How Many Tears/Halloween
Flotsam and Jetsam - Doomsday for the Deciever
Judas Priest - Victim of Changes/Beyond the Realms of Death
Heathen - Hypnotized
Chronos (Chile) - Medieval

and of course:
Iron Maiden - Phantom of the Opera/Hallowed be thy Name/To Tame a Land/Rime of the Ancient Mariner/Alexander the Great/Seventh Son of a Seventh Son

Yes..I must second this one. This very well could be their best song.
It's hard to pick a Bathory song but I'd go with "Blood Fire Death"
and also
*Manilla Road-Cage of Mirrors
*Adramelch-Fearful Visions
*Summoning-Elfstone(certainly an epic tune..fitting for a long journey)
*Solstice-Cimmerian Codex
