573. Thanks to the existance of abominations like Cold Lake, Dissident Alliance, Cold Black Ugly etc. all the merely mediocre Heavy Metal records in our collections seem to be so much better, truer, heavier. :D

On the other hand, the sad thing is that thanks to the existence of ultimate masterpieces like Defenders of the faith, Headless Cross, Ample Destruction etc. all the merely mediocre Heavy Metal records in our collection seem even more mediocre, soulless and uninspired than they should :P

What if I actually like Jag Panzer's Dissident Alliance? I agree it is not great by Jag Panzer standards, but I still find it a very enjoyable listen.
What good is a life that leaves nothing behind, not a thought nor a dream to echo in time...
So what have I done in the eyes of the world, what have I done that will remain?

I'm with you on Dissident Alliance. It's pretty decent, though I haven't been listening to it all that much. There is at least some "sting" in that record, and the musicianship is nice, making it "listenable"

I would like Dissident Alliance much much more if not for the vocals. There is some musicianship there that is pretty good but the vocals suck out all of the energy from this record.
