Okay, if we are going to get into bands like Helstar and shit, you can toss in Omen, Liege Lord, and Phantom which I don't really think is suitable.
I think that if we are going to ramble off names they should be of bands that are more SPEED then Power or Thrash, etc.
Bands like, Exciter, Iron Angel, ADX, Defender, SDI, Abbatoir, Savage Grace, Agent Steel, Mysto Dysto and Holy Terror.
Running Wild is pretty damn boarder line as I'd say their releases up until "Blazon Stone" and "Pile Of Skulls" were a 50/50 split of Power/Speed.

Helstar are much more of a speed metal band than Holy Terror for one thing! listen to the chunky, thrashy riffs of Holy Terror compared to the 90% of the time alternative picked riffs of Helstar and that's not to mention the vocals.Avenger wrote:Okay, if we are going to get into bands like Helstar and shit, you can toss in Omen, Liege Lord, and Phantom which I don't really think is suitable.

Leader - Out in the Wasteland
An outstanding speed metal masterpiece no one has mentioned as of yet.

But Holy Terror are a lot faster. Wouldn't that be the main consideration in determining who's speed metal and who's not?Nightlock wrote:Helstar are much more of a speed metal band than Holy Terror for one thing! listen to the chunky, thrashy riffs of Holy Terror compared to the 90% of the time alternative picked riffs of Helstar and that's not to mention the vocals.
