Well, Heavy Metal is my music. I even dare to say that Heavy Metal is ME. But this doesn't prevent me from enjoying and appreciating other kinds of music for what they are.
I have stood many times on the edge of Too-Much-HM and I have gazed into the abyss below (e.g. pointing out weak moments in Warlord) so I know that I need a change of pace, be it rock, punk, folk music, ambient, intelligent electronica etc., as long as it is good.
Autechre has written some very challenging music.

That's great! For me though, although metal has always been MY music from the start, I've also tried to get into all sorts of music as well including ambient industrial, alternative blah blah blah but have realized that I dont have time looking for this music, there is way too much great undiscovered metal still to be foundBrainbiter wrote:Well, Heavy Metal is my music. I'm 110 procent sure that I would take this album with me, so I will only mention one.. Or I would sit and write this messege for hours.
DEEP SWITCH - Nine Inches Of God
Damn, been listening to this record more than any other record since I were 15 years old and it's still only getting better.

The "deserted island" concept is just a more interesting way to put "best ten albums ever". That's obviously what everyone would go with. I know I would. These are the ten I will never get tired of:
