Dead Horse :D

Anybody can post one band name per day for the rest of his life. I foresee a great future for this thread!

I've always thought Chernyj Kofe (Black Coffee) is a pretty lame band name.

I like that one. It's a fitting name for a Texan metal band. They were excellent too.

Yeah, it's an OK name. Did they take it to avoid a flogging in the press?

(and is this the worst joke this year yet?)

Never heard them. Demo only? What were they like?

They issued two albums, both of which were re-released by Relapse. They played thrash/crossover with eccentric song structures & a curious sense of humour ("Cod Piece Face"!)

Killer band, their first album is one of my all time time. A rather strange mix of death/thrash and hardcore.

Exactly. A very forgettable Nightwish clone. How come, that I know that? Well, yes, I actually purchased their Demo-CD,
I don't blame you for forgetting the name of boring copy bands, but it seems the Nightwish clone is called Operatika. Operatica is some electronic project with female opera vocals. I'm listening to it now, not bad, not metal either.

Since no one else brought them up:

Naughty Snail

The name sucks but like many of the other bands mentioned in this thread they could very well be good bands but their names alone are a big turnoff.
