I meant Penetration, the punk outfit with Fred Purser who later played in the Tygers of Pan Tang. The Penetration must be another band, because Penetration never used the article in front of their name. Penetrations must be yet another band...

Penetrations - Coming To You. I remember it to be pretty impressive. Aren't you confusing it with the Penetration "Come Into the Open" 7" or "Coming Up for Air" album. Penetration was a 1970s punk band (they reformed though) with lots of metal/progressive influences, listen...

Operatica http://www.thecorroseum.com/phpbb2/images/smiles/sad44.gif Exactly. A very forgettable Nightwish clone. How come, that I know that? Well, yes, I actually purchased their Demo-CD, I don't blame you for forgetting the name of boring copy bands, but it seems the Nightwish clone is cal...

The Thin Lizzy/Grand Funk ones are not even that similar. There's a bunch of others in that style too, many punk ones like U.K. Subs and Vice Squad.

Did some bands use regular output humbuckers in the bridge position? P90s? ---------- What about those funky things on the tailpiece? Besides the usual Kahlers I've seen these things that look like they would retrofit Gibson Flying v's and Explorers. Kind of like the Stetsbar but a little different.

I was looking for that Argentinian cover of the demon-rising-from-the crypt-cover that is some really lame dance, synth crap, but didn't find it. I think Mr. Destrozer posted it once. This one? http://cover7.cduniverse.com/MuzeAudioArt/Large/41/525941.jpg it's awesome darkwave from Argentina, but n...

I never noticed her accent, she's such a screamer, her voice makes even the songs with not that interesting lyrics sound good. By the way, what is this? It looks like some kind of reunion or one-off gig, the video was uploaded in 2008 according to what it says: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GeOAFN_...

Joey Smith of Speed, Glue and Shinki. I think several other proto-metal bands also had singer-drummers, I can't remember which ones right now (Sir Lord Baltimore has already been mentioned).

I liked "Mindcreeper" too, but not as much as "Son of Odin".

Wow, they used a stand alone digital mutitrack. It sounds good from the samples, it seems like they know what they're doing, unlike a lot of bands. Plus they're interested in experimenting. I need to hear this.

It doesn't even say if the demo actually circulated outside the band. The video is from 1991, according to the website on one page, another page from the same site says 1992. The band was started in the late 1980s. There are apparently two other appearances on other TV shows, I don't know if they ar...

I still listen to some tapes, nothing really obscure except for some occasional punk, mainly stuff like Rush and Megadeth on tape. I'm also not crazy about the format and probably wouldn't buy any more cassettes unless it was something only available on tape. I cleaned the heads and demagnetized and...

But what about the term "czad"? Seems as musical style it's only used in Poland, and as far as I could tell just refers to fast and hard stuff (correct me if I'm wrong).

one of my old drummers was a firm believer in DW5000's but always wanted a second bass drum instead. Honestly you won't get the response and speed as you would if you have two bass drums (note: I'm not a drummer but every drummer I've ever jammed with has confirmed that statement) I'm not a drummer...
