It now occurred to me,Naked Sun!!! Know them? If not, check 'em out! I wouldn't call 'em exactly "metal" but they're certainly in the vibe of the bands that this thread started with.

Last Things, how did I forget this mini-jewel?! Check it out ASAP guys and download Blackkout's "Ignorance Of Man" demo wherever you find it! And yes there was a "scene" for this kind of stuff from '88 to '91 I guess,Faith No More and Jane's Addiction played a pivotal role in that...

So basically Vanden Plas,Lion's Share and that Gathering of 8 Norwegian Prog Metal Bands compilation, haha! Lion's Share are OK but if we start mentioning such bands in a topic that started with Xerxes we're somehow derailed... [quote="Korgüll"]Check these out Helm, if you don't already kno...

Speaking of "progressive metal" I think that the term started when "Images And Words" came out, what do you guys think? I have lots of magazines pre-'92 both in english and in greek and I haven't seen the term mentioned for any record that we NOWADAYS call prog metal.
