not too bad, but the drums are recorded/mixed really badly, or maybe untuned, but they don't sound right.

Already knew about Goatfago and am not surprised that there's yet another band that sings about goats.

Besides the pagan connotations and the christian ideas of evil based on the former, goats are extremely cute (but they will eat anything).

High Treason - Radio Will Find Me

A lot of the NWOBHM albums put out in the last 10 years or so seem to be ridiculously hard to find.

Strangely enough, this one seems really easy to find, but is there anywhere online where I could at least hear one of the tracks? Has anyone heard this album?

Is the "Lost Properties" cassette the same as the BBC Radio session recordings, or is it some other session?

IQuite funny, they were filed under Death Metal at my local supplier's store. Probably due to their release on Roadrunner (All the Blacks ???). Music stores often just classify according to covers, records labels and other pointless criteria. I noticed that in Vienna, Austria all the gothic rock an...

Yeah, that all sounds really cool. I have been listening to the 3 songs on the demo and the guitar playing doesn't really sound like any other player, really excellent original music. The vocals are awesome too.

There's several proto-metal bands: Phoenix (also known as Transsylvania Phoenix outside of Romania): they were active since the 1960s. In the 1980s they were living in West Germany, I have seen some video of them in Germany with a girl guitarist, I don't think it's on Youtube. Here's a short history...

Was this band at all influential in the gothic doom genre? I listened to their first album, and while being traditional doom, the clean vocals (and also the music) sound a lot more gothic than early Paradise Lost or My Dying Bride, which were just doomy death metal. They could also be somewhat of a ...

Yeah, I suppose, especially if you send cash in an envelope or something. I could have caused them problems by cancelling from my card. I didn't use straight paypal, and paypal has problems, because people often cancel paypal directly to their bank, which hardly ever happens with normal card verifie...

I don't think I'll order again soon. It's pretty ridiculous to run an online store and not check your e-mail for months. Plus I got this message every time I sent an e-mail to the main account that it failed to deliver the mail to some other accounts (which I didn't sent the mail to). It didn't do i...

Overdrive (UK)

I was wondering if anybody ever tried to buy anything from their webshop, successfully or not. I tried to a few months ago. I eventually wrote them 3-4 weeks after the order, also 2 months later and probably also 1 and a half months later, so eventually I wound up emailing all the band members sever...

I agree, it sounds like there's a different singer too.

I probably wouldn't consider it the best of 1982 though.

I have the CD. It has crappy printing for the booklet, the printing on the CD looks non-professional, and the CD sounds like crap (I think it's not a CD-R though). Is this typical of Old Metal Records or do I have a bootleg?

There are ways of finding out about Sanctus: San Remo is obviously a pseudonym, but Splintered had a bassist name Colin Bradley: http://www.myspace.com/splintereduk there is someone with the same name also in Dual (may or may not be the same): http://www.dual.co.uk/main.html Deluge (UK) had a drumme...
