Re: German-compilation-tracks compilation (white label test pressing pre-release)

thankx a ton Dan for your time and effort to bring to light some real obscurities like Brainhammer & Avalon for example which really kicks serious ass! Can't wait for more obscure steel... If you are interested in unknown Russian steel, check my compilations shared on the Metal Rarities forum!

Re: Heavy Sounds Records

if you are talking about the Swedish Record shop/label that released the first Heavy Load record, it was a one record company that carried on as a record shop until a couple of years ago. i actually visited that store in Stockholm once...pretty cool guy the owner too!

I was recently in Sofia, went to SMF records which had nothing obscure or rare as the previous fellow mentioned. Also, "Ploshtad Slaveikov" bazaar had only second hand books. However, I came across an open bazaar next to Alexander Nievsky's cathedral where they were selling WWII medals, Na...

Just returned from Edi...nothing special in record hunting. I found one shop near Tollcross bus station selling records mostly of household names such as Maiden, Priest along with turntables, amplifiers etc and 2 shops in Newington street, selling both cd's and records. The first had the usual stuff...

Mighty 'Touch of Devil' performing live in Hammersmith Odeon the song 'Metal Power'!!
For those not familiar with this band, do yourself a favor and get their 1985 demo, probably the best to come out of Italy!

We might be talking about the same shop..my memory has faded after all these years! Anyway, my experience when traveling abroad has showed me that you can find good stuff in record fairs (very common in Europe) or second hand record stores that usually trade various styles. You can easily locate the...

Although it's been more than ten years since my last visit in Prague, I remember vividly buying some cool vinyls there in a second hand record store (not only metal), located somewhere in the old town (a the first floor of a building, it had a banner on the road). The prices were ridiculously low ba...

Tony Kontaxakis (guitar) formed Douglas after the split up of Foxes. Good AOR and rarities both their two albums. He makes a living working with major pop artists in Greece since the early 90's. He is a cool guy as well!
