Re: CULT OF THE UNDERDOG Podcast : Summer Special Now Available!

For me you can. I'm stuck. The song after Trust could be finnish. Must be from a compilation or a 7inch i think. I think i should know the original, but i don't. Of the yougslavian song i do not recognize the original eighter, but i think i know that band. My guess is VATRENI POLJUBAC. I do not know...

Re: Old Spanish metal

Demo s , plural ... they had at least 3. The 1985 Demo is up on youtube, just search for Ago Demo 1985. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gNEx-j3Kzqo A more aggressive power sound would have fit them better on the vinyl. Especially by that price it usually costs, not a cheap one... Much better indeed...

Re: Old Spanish metal

Hey Dan! Thanks for this 2 Split-LP's! I was curious about them since quite some time.
But at the end i am not a big fan.
THARNA is good
AGO and ARCANGEL are not bad but quite average (usual) spanish metal-
And MASADA ise somewhere in between.

Re: Most out of place record find?

In the very early 90ies i've seen this baby in a Record Shop in my hometown (i did'nt lived there anymore at that time). //e.snmc.io/i/300/w/c30446723244eec303615a0095ca5ac9/1474067 After listening to it i said to myself: "Nahhh, 18.- bucks for 3 badly produced songs is not worth it!" In t...

Re: CULT OF THE UNDERDOG Podcast : Summer Special Now Available!

OK, "Tales of Mystery" from Michael Schenker sounds like RAVENS'HEAD, but i don't find that song on their CD! Only similar ones.
So it's not them i think!?

Re: CULT OF THE UNDERDOG Podcast : Summer Special Now Available!

The next song (after the Birdhouse) could be "Into the void" from Black Sabbath. No idea from who. I even don't know the language! :D Is this portuguese? The next one is probably "We are the Road Crew" from Motörhead performed by an unknown Punk Band. Then "Tales of Mystery&...

Re: CULT OF THE UNDERDOG Podcast : Summer Special Now Available!

The song that starts at 22:41 is from THE BIRDHOUSE. All the Lessons from Rose Tattoo. That was relatively easy because they are singing in english! :D I even had this record once 20 years ago but gave it to a friend quickly. I did not like it at all! :D I still don't like the singer but the solos a...

Ah it's from the third album! I don't have it and i do not own the live album.
I was dissapointed by Bloodrock 2 comparing to the first and i gave up then.
Seems that i should give them a chance now! :D

Re: CULT OF THE UNDERDOG Podcast : Summer Special Now Available!

A lot of great stuff this time. First song is of course a cover of RIot's Warrior. If heard it lately somewhere but i don't remember. Honjoh Misako played that song but it was different. Second one is Trust of course. B-side from their first single. The song that starts at about 11th minute could be...

Hmm. That's funny! :D
I don't like ORQUIDEA NEGRA at all!
On the other side ALTA TENSAO's Metalmorphose is a must have!
The best from Brasil for me!
Then Harppia!
Then Stress, Calibre 38, Centurias

Re: CULT OF THE UNDERDOG PODCAST : Episode 5 now available

Thank you for another great episode! Of course I haven't heard most of the songs before, but here's what I've managed to figure out so far. 1. That saxophone has a distinct Clive Jones feel to it, but I don't think this is neither Agony Bag nor Black Widow. 2. Private hard rock/metal 7" time. ...
