Verrry disappointing for me! I found it a bit too 'samey' & boring? I tried to like it, as I love CF but this was not a good one in my eyes (ears) I put it up there with Venom - Metal Black, also very unlistenable & disappointing! :( The best album of last year was 'UNLEASHED-Midvinterblot'!...

IMO Darkthrone were the first ones to really emulate the sound of early Bathory or Celtic Frost & do it really well. Deliberate sloppy playing, tinny whiny guitar, under-production, corpse-paint etc... I guess they were the first really popular BM band to take it to the next level ('new wave'?) ...

I picked it up recently & think it's ok. I guess it's a bit early Deep Purple/Van Halen sounding with a southern-rock/70's arena-prog feel?? But beware of the 2 baaaad boogie-woogie style songs!
