Have been visiting the Corroseum very infrequently for a few years now but very happy to have discovered these new compilations. Excited to hear these - thanks Dan

Re: Arc - Raiders of the Lost Arc

I'm quite happy with this release. No problem with rehersal tracks being released if they sound as good as this. ARC's songwriting is a bit variable in quality but there are a few really good tracks on it apart from the obvious. I particularly like Leviathan, even though it is the least metallic tra...

Thank you for posting that. The album is quite good for someone interested in 70s protometal (for lack of a better term). Will read the interview for sure.

I'm sold on this. Sounds really course and raw, just like I prefer it, though with some melody. Good stuff!

Re: Snakepit # 22

I am reading the new issue now. Have to say, I'm very happy with it all. I agree that some interviews are rather long when it's bands I am not that interested in, but I usually skim those and read properly those I am interested in. The Slayer feature was great BTW. Steven Craig does not strike me as...

Re: (Metal) Recordstores in Stockholm ?

A pity you're working, we could have grabbed a few beers otherwise. Thanks for the tips for new recordstores. Didn't know about MJ Retro or An Ideal for Living. I've been to Record Hunter before, but they were very disappointing at the time (2009, perhaps?). Three years ago, I found some stuff in So...

Re: (Metal) Recordstores in Stockholm ?

I'm going to the Solna record fair in two weeks time and will of course visit all the stores I know of. Are there any new ones which deserve a visit? Any of the old ones bite the dust? I'll be in town for a few days prior to the fair as well. Any metal gigs or events that weekend? Anyone from here w...

Re: Race Against Time, finally!

The Race Against Time LP has it's qualities, but I would agree that Bedtime is the gem on it. I quite enjoy the rest of it too though. It's raw, gutsy and has some "charm" (which I'm trying to put into words what really consists of, failing badly thus far).

Re: LORD CRUCIFIER [ITA/GBR] - The Focus of Life LP (Metalworks 1988) for otcmetal

Not rare or expensive, but a bloody good album. I like their relentlesness (for lack of a better word) and intricacies which do not make them lose power or drive.

Re: TEGEN HART, unsung ItaliDoom-Masters

The strong accent of these italian bands is quite funny ... I kind of enjoy strong accents, at least from some countries. It becomes a (huge) problem with Scandinavian bands though, and I'm not too fond of German accents either. But southern or eastern European accents, I find charming and it may e...

Leif, you're a hero for doing all this work with the blog. I'll buy you a beer at KIT and maybe even give you a kiss on the cheek if you shave before the trip. The Sorcerer interview is great, comes through as very sincere.
