Amp wise the JCM 800's (modified) through a 1960's Marshall 4 x 12 cab was extremely popular and a bench mark for many Thrash bands (Slayer, Metallica etc). Then of course there is the individual additions like power amps, eq's, pedals, pick-ups etc.

I use Pearl Eliminators and they're fukkin great. I would reccomend these as with the cam varaiations you get a very wide scope of feel from the pedal depending on the style you are playing at the time. They can be easily interchanged saving time fukking around trying to get the pedals to feel right...

Gibson les paul or Gibson flying V are the ultimate metal guitars imo. Look great and sound great... The Gibson SG is also killer.

I try to keep my collection somewhat trimmed I suppose. If I end up with new records that don't get any listening attention, or just sound so average that I know I won't go back to them or miss it I try to move it on. But usually I am looking for records that I already own and listen to on some othe...
