I found the East German compilation LP Speed Up - Heavy News from 1990 at a local record fair today. I didn't even realize it was a compilation until I got home (in fact it's a three-way split with the bands contributing with four tracks each) - I paid less than 2 euro and thought it to be some kind...

I guess it's just a matter of weather you prefer more 70's style HR over 80's Metal. What I've heard from P.Box and Dinamit hasn't impressed me so far, but then again it really isn't my Rock of choice. I´m not sure about this as I rather listen to Accept or Judas Priest stuff circa 80-84 than say D...

I actually prefer Joe Rudán to Kalapács as the singer in Pokolgép. Rudán has more power, and the Adj uj Eröt album slays. Is Endre Paksi the the singer of Ossian? If he is, I agree that he sounds weak. I never liked Ossian too much. I agree with you about Rudán although I prefer the older Pokolgép ...

Just wondering if I'm the only one here who thinks that the hungarian early eighties hard rock scene (especially P.Box and Dinamit) thrashes (slightly so  ) the later eighties/early nineties Heavy Metal wave (with bands like Ossian, Pokolgép and Omen). Especially on the writing side, but also ...

Try your luck in Bad Mergentheim. It's pretty much in walking distance from the venue, around 6-7 kilometres. I managed to find hotel rooms for us there yesterday. They even seem to understand horrible germanglish with a swedish accent around there. :) Me and my brother will stay in Bad Mergentheim...

Sinner (Judas Priest) and Run if you can (Accept) Not exactly the same riffs but still it seems that Accept sort of developed their riff out of the Priest one, using the same rhythm pattern... two great songs all the same. On the other hand: Avalanche (again!!!) - Child of Damnation (side one, track...
