Moon of Steel - Time's Marching Fast

That intro guitar harmony is Megaman X-worthy and beyond.

Love every album they've done, and every one has been my favorite (or least favorite) at some point. Right now I'll say Reason since it's still very thrashy, but with enough melodic/progressive parts to make it unique. Their "No More Color".

Wicked Bitch is another amazing Slauter Xstroyes epic. Probably my favorite.

Destruction - Continental Drift I

Of all the stupid ideas that once-thrash-then-groove bands put out, using African tribal chanting is the worst.

Torn Flesh's Happy Birthday. Gave them a first listen yesterday because of the thrash thread, and while they clearly suck I still kind of like them in a crap metal way. The guy doing vocals on Happy Birthday could have been a replacement for a Sesame Street monster. Fucking hilarious.

Crap, can't believe I forgot Bitter End's only album! The vocalist is a more nasal version of Dave Mustaine, their lyrics have all the politics of Peace Sells but none of the wit, and their guitarist tries to throw in jazzy Poland-esque leads but does it at the most inappropriate times. They were li...

Definitely one of the worst out there. It damaged thrash more than any other one album, by making the oxymoron of aggression-less thrash a reality.

Holocausto's Negatives is quite terrible. It's like they re-wrote Coroner's Last Entertainment a dozen times, threw in a couple of pointless "atmospheric" songs as an added bonus, and called themselves progressive thrash metal. EDIT: Never understood the following for Torture's Storm...

Purgatory - Tied to the Trax
Slauter Xstroyes - Free the Beast
Squadron - Fatal Strike

I swear, the eastern Midwest may have had metal's most overlooked scene. So much amazing speed/power from this region.

Thanks for this! I had somehow forgotten that Blind Fury recorded anything more than Out of Reach.
