thanks Heathen and Avenger. I didn't know that there was reissue of Release From Agony. There isn't any on Music Sammler. That's because people are idiots and when they see "1988" written on the inserts they assume it's from that year. A lot of re-issues only state the original year of release and ...

the second (= the matrix pictured lower) CD is definitely older. I would say it must have been printed before 1994 (but I'm guessing here), maybe even much earlier. It may very well be the first pressing. The higher matrix has an IFPI number (they begun showing up in CDs in mid 90-ties) and a new ma...

Sometimes I buy one but as soon as I get it I can't stand the look of it and I soon find myself obsessed with replacing it with a normal copy

I actually find Green much more enjoyable, and I am no fan of modern groove.

Could anyone clarify what is the deal with all these first Massacra album Releases? Why is it released under two different names ("Final Holocaust" and self titled). Which releases were put out in 1990, and which are later re-releases?

Any chance of this being the original? http://cgi.ebay.com/EQUINOX-CD-The-Way-To-Go-1990-RARE-THRASH-METAL_W0QQitemZ370285260888QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMusic_CDs?hash=item5636b8b058 It could very well be, although... Play it safe and ask for a scan. If it's an original that's a very good price. Has anyo...

As far as I know the inserts in the SK release were printed in the US, so guess is that those new, pioneer CD plants in North America were quite expensive at the time and maybe thats why some of the CDs were pressed in SK. Maybe for the European market only, as there was no specific european release...

Which Jag Panzer - Ample Destruction CD edition is the most valuable and rare? I guess that the contest is between the Metal Blade and the Metalcore releases.

Well, Some new boots (and that one - if it's a boot - is new, never seen one before) have the same matrix as originals (take the Target boot for example). Here you have a photo of the original one, judge for yourself. http://img28.imageshack.us/img28/7941/matrixd.th.jpg Also, look at the RR 9572 2 a...

Unfortunately it definetly looks like a boot to me. The matrix area is different, the font is different. Check if the CD has the following matrix code: SONOPRESS C-1481/RR 95722 A

Beware of this seller: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250501169253&ssPageName=ADME:X:AAQ:US:1123 Gives photos of original CDs and then ships bootlegs. I have also one for sale by way  Yeah, but the problem is that you know how much it's worth ;) Anyone that doesn't know the worth of the original is selling a bootleg though. That's probabily right in most cases, but all the fun is to get expensive CDs below their market value, at least that'...
