Helm wrote:This looks pretty amazing. I'll get the CD possibly. What with Stygian Shore also (which I reviewed for electric-requiem and will be up soon) you seem to have a pretty awesome taste in Heavy Metal.
Thanks for the review, looking forward to reading it.... please post it up when it's ready.

Check out this thread at Hellride Music. Neudi from the band Viron got in contact with the band and remastered the album himself. If anyone wants to rerelease it, he's the guy to get in touch with. http://www.hellridemusic.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9329&highlight=poisonoise I read that... and was ...

I'll be talking of CD die-hard releases here but it is the same idea in general anyway. When I do a die-hard portion of a particular release I look at it as a way of recuperating CASH towards the release. Coz once the release is out all distros only want to trade for it. There are maybe 1 or 2 dist...

One reason why people are buying more vinyl might be because CDs just might be phased out one day and investing in vinyl is not that much more expensive than a CD nowadays... I sell CDs and Vinyl for virtually the same price.... I grew up in the mid 90's and grew up on CDs and CD re-issues... I alwa...

i don't think everything about mr. varney said is true. the strangest think of him was that he could never sell anything of his catalogue outside US. but sure i forgive him about that. and i believe that he gave some of the rights of his releases ...like george bellas, macalpine and chastain's firs...

While I do not condone bootlegs I want to make a comment on the following statement: Mike Varney owns everything that was on Shapnel (EVERYTHING) any and all CD's of this stuff that are not on Shrapnel ARE BOOTLEGS and he has been known to take the time to stop it. In the few times I met Varney I f...

This day an age, I figure we can all make our own covers, back inserts, etc and just settle for a CDR and stick it in the collection? I agree. I've been burned in the past buying bootlegs and will not do it again. You spend lots of money and get a CD where half the tracks are mis-spelled, poor CD p...

I mean as consumers and fans of heavy metal we really can only do so much. I mean do you really think everyone has time to look up every single release and investigate it to the fullest to see whether or not it's a bootleg? And then you can get into the argument that labels who don't put out illegal...

What kills me the most is that if a band will NEVER put out something because they don't care, that was their past, etc... and you make a bootleg and sell it, why on earth are they more expensive than regular CDs? It's because bootleggers are making THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS... and then inturn it beco...
