I remembered some years ago when i bought Halloween-Don't Metal With Evil on CD,this first CD was like Alice Cooper,Kiss a mix heavy and glam but with no sucess to my mind.I founded them a typical AVERAGE band with no real inspiration. We can't say Halloween was a great band and ignoring thousands o...

The show at KIT a few years ago was great. Had a blast, but for some reason I never became a total fan of the "Don't Metal With Evil" album. I heard a tad too much American HR mixed into their Metal and very few of the songs stuck in my head. I still have to check out the later stuff, so I'll postp...

HALLOWEEN - fear (?) the return

Last week I kind of rediscovered one of my first true loves of ancient-forgotten-80's-metal, Detroit's Halloween. This band holds so much memories and special meanings to me, I again realized I totally love all their three albums. I can't decide which is the best, the energetic and enthusiastic debu...

JAG PANZER - ample destruction (Finally I got the original for a decent price! "Under the knife!...") MARTYR - darkness at times edge (Excellent! Gotta find the MLP now. Anyone up for a quick trade?) HOCCULTA - back in the dark (Good shit. Better than the older lp I heard ages ago + with a heavy An...

Would you trade that POKOLGEP 7" for a rare Swedish one, should I come up w/ something interesting?
I would probably trade it for SCRATCH or SACRIFICE, but aside of that, I would hold on to it. As I said, it was one of only a handful of foreign singles I really wanted.

Re: Pokolgép

Lindell wrote:That 7" is brilliant! I have some Pokolgép demos recorded 1982-1984 if you are interested in cd-r or cassette trading...
Absolutely, sounds like something I got to hear. I got a box full of demos and assorted recordings on cdr, mostly swedish 80's stuff. Should we exchange trade lists?

I just snatched a mint copy of the Pokolgép 7" on eBat. 50 dollars, but it's a darn cool single. One of the few foreign ones I really needed.

After reading that interview I get the impression that both s/t and Guardians were released on Mongol Horde, the debut as a "re-issue" shortly after the private pressing, and the 2nd one as an original US pressing. This begs the question of weather there were any other "Horde" full-lenght releases?...

The mighty STORMWITCH was the class act of Gama Records. The rest of their host I find somewhat lacklustre, though Gravestone was fairly entertaining... I have to agree with Dan on the Noisehunter matter, and actually releasing Vectom on vinyl and meaning it... Where is death penalty when it's justi...

FAITH

"FAITH on the other hand reformed in the mid 90's and released their more progressive debut album "Salvation Lies Within" in 2003". I don't know why I keep hearing that all the time. Salvation Lies Within is NOT proggy. It's total power doom in the good old Trouble tradition. And why shouldn't it be...

Are you looking for original tapes or will cdrs/mp3s suffice? I could make an upload with some hi-res mp3s of the 2 first demos if you need them. The rest of their tapes are more commercial I've been told. Dead wrong, the third one, called "Sent out of Orion" and recorded in 1985, is their heaviest...
