Well, Warlord and Omen of course. From Europe, Dark Quarterer, Adramelch and Elixir.

From the 90's Solstice (New Dark Age) and Domine (Champion Eternal).

00's and onward, Doomsword, Ironsword and Atlantean Kodex to name a few.

Re: Muskelrock 2022 (Blädinge, Sweden 3-5 June)

OMEN - ...and this turned out to be my least favourite show I've seen with them, and there's been a few through the years. 1: the sound was pretty bad (too much drums in the mix) and 2: if you're planning to have 2 singers fronting your show, PLEASE rehearse the performance. That is somewhat comfor...

Quite some unexpected worship of “that other dude from that Anthrax side project“. :D

Re: (Metal) Recordstores in Stockholm ?

Just wondering...been thinking to visit the Solna record fair for a few years now, but the thing that holds me back is...do i need Swedish krona or can i pay with euro aswell? And paying with euro would mean, it's more expensive then? Thanks for the help guys! Some sellers will accept euros, but yo...

Re: "Did I hear that right?!"

Because of a whim, I picked up the lyric sheet as I listened to Sabbath’s “Headless Cross” the other day, suspecting it would probably ruin the song Nightwing for me. As suspected, it’s not “the kid is a rubber band” as I’ve always heard, but “the kill is around the bend”. I always imagined the Nigh...

Re: Insane Ebay Auctions - Vinyl, Tapes & Merch

Yeah, there’s no way in hell those will ever sell, nor is the seller actually interested in selling them. He’s just showing off his collection. Rather than ask a price he’ll realize in hindsight was “too low”, he’ll set an outrageous price but open for offers to see what he can get. I’ve managed to...

Very cool!
And honestly, another demo compilation I’ll probably never get around to check out because there are so many.

Re: What are your issues with "NWOTHM"?

Mainly two things. 1) It is essentially a "retro" scene and thus limited in scope and potential. I know there are exceptions, but the vast majority of bands are inspired by old school metal, they want to play old school metal and they wear their influences on their sleeves. Very few will h...

Re: Heavy Metal as a Lifestyle.

It's quite humorous to see you belittle me for my age, when that is besides my point - I was ranting about people who don't discover bands on their own and just get their taste from some sort of "tastemaker" webzine or quasi-celebrity. Wasn’t belittling at all, thought that was clear. Jus...

Re: Heavy Metal as a Lifestyle.

I've had more (half-)drunk attendees at festivals call me poser than I want to admit, because I really do not look like I'd attend such an event on purpose if you'd judge me based on appearance. It’s ironic isn’t it, that you’d be called a poser for your lack of true metal props to, eh... pose with...

Re: Heavy Metal as a Lifestyle.

I don't think it makes much sense. It's a bit contradictionary, not to mention juvenile. Look. I'm a dad. Always had short hair. I do love my arm chair, it's usually where I sit down to spin my records. I listened to Manilla Road before you were born. That's not impressive. I was born in 1982...

In that interview, surely Schaffer must have referred to the artwork that was actually released in Europe, but replaced on later editions? It’s every bit as terrible as the rejected.

There are quite a few Argentinian records I need (Hellion is one of them), but like you say, they’re always overpriced.
