I used to have this but it's been years, I think it was manufactured by JVC? If so it could be easily identified by those 'digital runes' in the matrix, those seem pretty damned difficult to fake. I've also never seen a bootleg copy but it's been so long since I've looked for a copy of Melissa that ...

The first matrix pic looks pretty real as far as I can tell, the whole area is 'thinner' than most of the bootlegs I've seen. However if it's from the new generation of boots like that Merciless CD I cannot tell from any of these blurry photos

I haven't seen the bootleg, but it seems to me a Disc Amerique matrix from that era would be VERY hard to fake accurately. Unless these bootleggers seriously upped their game while I wasn't paying attention.
