Cannot agree more with "Behind" being a masterpiece of progressive metal. It's both heavy and so out there.. No other band sounded like Mayfair.

...And yet when you find a new obscure 80s band that sounds like a carbon copy of Iron Maiden it's "an underground gem"

Saint Vitus. I only like their first two albums with Reagers though but they mean a lot to me.

Trouble is a close second. I like many of their albums but The Skull is the strongest for me.

I like Pentragram too but not as much as most doom fanatics I guess.

I listened your sampler and Comatose struck out as better one. The vocals sound kind of tired but the music was interesting. Solaris sounded pretty second rate I think. Nothing special about the music and singer didn't do it for me even though I love Solar Eagle's vocals
