Re: GOOD YouTube channels?

A friend of mine (John Gaffney, who used to play in Sinister Realm and was one of the contributors for Candlemass Chronicles) has a Youtube channel called Lair of the Alchemist, that I joined as guest for two episodes. Much of the content might be too "mainstream" for Corroseum-ers, but one of the e...

Re: Recent Metal Finds

That Alvacast LP came directly from Uruquay. Didn't take even 2 weeks to arrive. I think the mail situation has kinda normalized. I could ship parcels in the past 2 weeks to all places in the world, even to NZ, Brazil and Japan worked problemlessly. The issue I referred to is not covid related. Swe...

Re: Recent Metal Finds

Damn, that’s what I thought (although I hoped it was findable, just that nobody cared about it). Actually there was a copy on Ebay some weeks ago, the problem was that it was sold as part of a lot of 6 random LP’s and I didn’t need any of the other records. I put in what I thought was a strong bid ...

Re: Recent Metal Finds

Well you can't have the one thing without the other ... lol Those Chroming Rose "Pressure" vinyls are even hard to find here in Germany. Can't remember anymore when I've seen a copy on german Ebay. Damn, that’s what I thought (although I hoped it was findable, just that nobody cared about it). Actu...

Condition description seems very accurate and forthcoming for this. :D https://www.ebay.com/itm/DO-NOT-BUY-Metallica-Kill-em-All-1983-Original-Megaforce-Silver-label-Vinyl-LP/174660098964?_trkparms=aid%3D1110006%26algo%3DHOMESPLICE.SIM%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20180213162448%26meid%3D084664d31eae42bdb5cf9a3...

The 7'' single, however, is a different story. Bad production and very poor vocals. The sums it fetches is beyond my belief.
Oh, come one. Their theme song is a perfect song and recording quality etc is exactly the DIY quality you could expect from a DIY release, no more or less.

Re: Insane Ebay Auctions - Vinyl, Tapes & Merch

You need to let go of the notion that quality of music is supposed to justify a price tag. It doesn’t. Supply and demand justifies a price tag. Question number 1 is do you want a record at all, and if yes are you prepared to pay what it costs. My favorite record of all time is Painkiller, but if I l...

Re: Insane Ebay Auctions - Vinyl, Tapes & Merch

I’m glad I bought it when it actually was 20 to 25 euros, because The Unknown is the best traditional heavy metal album ever released by a Swedish band.

Re: Records mixed from different pressings..

Not so outrageous, but I did have a badly scratched Saxon "Rock the Nations" LP, French pressing. At one point I found a mint copy, US pressing, while crate digging and bought it. I threw away my old copy, but kept the inner sleeve as the US edition doesn't have one.

Re: Kreator - Renewal LP Noise 1992 with insert?

Looks like the lyric sheet that came with the Brazilian pressing (although on offer is clearly the German Noise pressing). Check the fifth picture of this entry here: https://www.discogs.com/de/Kreator-Renewal/release/1848724 Most likely a former owner thought it nice to have a lyric sheet with the...

Records mixed from different pressings..

Since the original mystery is solved, let's rename the whole thread../aDmiN Anyone has, or has seen an original Noise 1992 Kreator "Renewal" LP with an insert that looks like the one in the photo of this auction? I always thought it came with a plain white inner and nothing else. https://www.ebay.c...

Re: Metal Collecting ..only for the rich & elderly?

On the evolution of record prices: I am not an expert on heavy metal and my first and true love is black metal. When I compare prices with 20 years ago there are few records that remained on the same price level, only a handful decreased in value, and most went up quite a bit. And then there's the ...

Re: Metal Collecting ..only for the rich & elderly?

Interesting... Are all good 80's HM vinyl getting more expensive though? Originals of all the classic bands - Yes Kült-rarities (Militia, Wyzard, various nwobhm 7" etc) - Yes ...but inbetween is where we find the majority of vinyl Steel and not all of it is mediocre. If you don't have a problem wit...
