Well the second song I definitely know, but it has been long enough since last hearing it I cannot ID. French band, or possibly Belgian.

The book is basically a discogs list of die-hard rock/metal 45''s. Expected much more for this asking price and the vast knowledge of the writer on the subject. I prefer the ''heroes-of-the-metal-underground'' book which includes interesting stories, interviews etc although the latter clearly lucks...

Had a listen. Nothing. Sometimes I recognise songs like last episodes Whizkey Stik but cannot place the song (this I blame either on old age or musical saturation). This time nothing.

For the record you have no idea how much it annoyed me to not ID Whizkey Stik.
