Metal Axe
Search for Steel
Regiments of Death
Militia is mostly known by their so expensive 12" "The Sybling", and well, the band is raised as one of the best hidden secrets in the USA Metal scene, and thats right. By hearing their 12", one realizes that their style is some kind of powerful technical heavy metal, with a bit touch of Thrash at
times, but regarding this demo, recorded before their vinyl, one find powerful Heavy Metal with the classical high pitched vocals of Mike Soliz, and the blasting riffs of Tony Smith. The opening song is the fast "Metal
Axe", whose power is devastating without losing its technical intention. "Search for steel" is a bit more complex since it features more tempo changes thanx to the long length of the song. Of course the vocals cant be forgotten, and the double drum bass appears in the very precise moment when the structure of the song is needed. With the third and last song "Regiments
of death", Mike Soliz shouts out his lunghs and Tony fills the song with a dose of riffing filled with technique and power, and yet you can hear a lot of feeling. One of these days the demos and the 12" will be released on cd I was told, and I think you all who worship USAs Metal will love it
