Selten hat mich eine Eigenpressung so beeindruckt wie CRILLSON´s-Coming of a new age!!! ,Coming of a new age, ist absolut nur göttlich!!!!
Well, well, well... what do we have here? Another long lost US Power Metal gem? Yap! Inside the booklet it says these guys hail from Wasilla, Alaska! Wow, I can't remember any other power metal band from Alaska. This is typical US power metal stuff and every song has something to offer. For example "Destiny" is one beautiful ballad while "Veils Of Darkness" and "Blades" have great riffs and catchy choruses, "No Cure" and "The Chosen One" are fantastic underground hymns, "Who Can You Trust" has great vocal melody line etc. The real highlight here is vocalist (Jesse Rezendes) who is amazing. He is natural talent and sings typical high pitched type vocals but at times he sings EXTREMELY high pitched vocals (similar to Militia vocalist). Totally mindblowing! The rest of the band plays just fine. But there is one thing I don't like here. It's production. It sucks. The only production that is even worse than this is on Angel Witch's "Frontal Assault". But the music alone is great and that's the only thing that matters. Although it's not perfect "Coming of a New Age" is truly Metal classic and every US power metal fan will enjoy it. If you see original CD anywhere grab it because it is rare and ofcourse PLAY IT LOUD!!! (Vladimir)
