Very kult - very Metal, them Axe-Killing frenchmen. A couple of real gems can be found both among their own, exclusive signings as well as the licensed acts. Why they were so obsessed with making their own covers for most of the license pressings I don't know, but it definitely has made the label more "collectible".
In the late 90's Axe Killer started up again, rereleasing old classics including some of their own material on CD, as well as signing a few new bands. I don't think they're active anymore, but you can read more about their later releases here. This discography only covers their original vinyl output from 1984-1986 and it should be complete.
