The Americans call this a 'senior moment'. I have them about 20 times a day.
I cannot, I shall not, I will not obey.

More and more frequent at my HQ, too. And very varied at the same time.bigfootkit wrote: ↑Sun Aug 27, 2023 5:55 amThe Americans call this a 'senior moment'. I have them about 20 times a day.

Here's a good three-way example of the same cover art phenomenon:tbieri wrote: ↑Fri Aug 18, 2023 9:52 amI think it was somewhere else. I don't see many of those on vinyl.bigfootkit wrote: ↑Wed Aug 16, 2023 5:58 am Was there a thread here once about records by different bands that used the same artwork? I had a look around but couldn't seem to find it. Maybe it was some place else. This type of thing:

Hadn't seen that Warhammer version of 'Forever Free' before. Not really a fan of the sleeve artwork itself, but the alternate logo treatment is really nicely done. Just a minor tweak overall, but it's a clever & very effective update. Would have looked great as a 'logo & nothing else' t-shirt.

I LOVE these cover-variations uploads of yours, but I'm curious: do you specifically collect albums with multiple sleeve-variations?
(No shaming mind you - I have waaaay more warped collector fetisches than that..)
Re: Cover variations / Different Covers (Vinyl only)
This was my maingoal in 2022 and 2023 and still is now. I have nothing other to collect anymore!
Everything is stupidly expensive nowadays. The old stuff and even the new ones on vinyl! And the shipping prices!
OK, i still buy too much stuff but i am a bit bored by the prices and the mostly mediocre quality of the new stuff.
Best would be to only collect 80ies stuff.
So was going through my collection to see if there are any differences in records of wich i have multiple copies and there where many of em! I still find some from time to time! I even had some in my "to sell" boxes without knowing that the covers where not identical!
Also now i make much more attention at these details when i am going througth boxes on record fairs and flea markets.
Actually i also made a list on discogs of the ones where i need another copy because of the cover!
For example i need Wyzards - Future Knigts now!
So, YES, actually i am collecting them.

I second DaN's praise of your niche area of collecting, it's always fascinating to see these vaiations & i salute your keen eye for often very minor details.
Are retitled records also within the scope of your current collecting? For example the s/t Rose Tattoo LP you've pictured above, was retitled 'Rock 'n' Roll Outlaws' for most of it's European releases & had different art.

Of course, if the title is on the cover!bigfootkit wrote: ↑Thu Feb 08, 2024 3:21 am I second DaN's praise of your niche area of collecting, it's always fascinating to see these vaiations & i salute your keen eye for often very minor details.

For example ARTCH's "Another Return" / "Another Return tu Church Hill". Or some with spanish titles.
Or Ozzy's "Talk of the Devil" / "Speak of the Devil" wich i do'nt own both.
