Maybe they tried to get "smart" and replicated the inserts.

the last time i have been in tokyo, i found a Xentrix used cd at one shop. the disc was original, but the booklet is from recent bootleg. i think the previous owner replaced the original booklet having some damages with that of bootleg. if only back insert is replaced as the original back insert has such damages as like cut, most people maybe don't know it.

Nothing insane about this. Around $250 seems to be the going price for this these days.

I guess I'm lucky not to be in your shoes trying to just start a collection.

I know that, but it's actually absurd the auctions end that high because actually the cd isn't that rare.

Yes, nothing insane. I can imagine this going even higher.

The price is a game of supply and demand, not just a matter of supply alone. It is one of the most "famous" collectible CDs, every thrash collector wants it :)

From description: "NOT the crappy Russian booklet"....
AFAIK it's not an absolute record for this cd. If i remember correctly it has sold for more than 500 $

He hasen't listed anything in a while. I remember him sending me a bitching message over ebay about how much time it took him to manually list several hundred auctions only to have a handful of them actually end in a sale.
