Inner Sanctum - "12 a.m." CD (Walls Down 1994)

Post by Lama »

Recently I stumbled upon the cd-version of the Inner Sanctum-LP in a second hand-store. I decided not to buy it immediately, because I've read some bad things about it concerning the sound (a.o. in the Corroseum-reviews section). Is there anyone here who has this cd? Is the sound like...really really BAD, or a BIG letdown in comparison to the LP-version? Or is it quite listenable, despite the loss in sound quality?

Haven't heard the LP version, but yes, the sound isn't the best on the CD, although not that extremely awful either.

I don't like the album, but the bonus demo tracks were pretty good!

All instruments on CD sound really 'thin', can't compare it to the LP version coz I haven't heard it

The sound of the LP is vastly superior to the CD. The LP has been uploaded in Poisonoise some time ago but the link has expired.

Would love a upload of the LP in it's original quality. I have a rip, but don't know if it's the cd or the LP rip. It's a crushing production. Killerrr record anyway.

Basically this CD sounds like a 2nd generation tape copy off the LP, but if you want the demo tracks on any kind of tangible format I guess it's worth picking up. Pay no more than €20.

GlockJohn: What's on the other demo not on the CD? I really, really love this unique feckoffSuperHeavy band...

Well, the cd costs 6 €. Anyone interested? If yes, I'll go back to the store.
