As I think the world needs more bands like these, I present to you:

WITCHSMELLER PURSUIVANT

Belgian Heavy Metal Act since 1994 and one of the best things we currently have to offer. Occult sounding mix of early Iron Maiden and Mercyful Fate with doomy vocals on top and hints of thrash.

They have just released their third album (or second, if you count the first as a demo) and it kills all competition. They however never got the recognition they deserve, which is a pitty. Hope the new album changes that, but I'm afraid they will remain an underestimated band. If you are, like me, tired of the hundreds of generic heavy metal bands who keep emerging these days, this band deserves a listen:
