Excellent cover and presentation given the 'versus' theme.

Phantom Witch are probably the best of the myspace US American thrash scene better than Merciless Death etc. Looking forward for it for them. I've messaged them a few times about a demo but they didn't seem to have any at the time.

Actually this is obviously digitally painted, but at least I agree, it's not photomanipulation.

Yes, it is a hand-painted artwork. The only difference from the conventional is that instead of using brushes and canvas the artist has used stylus and tablet. The bottom line is, if you cannot draw, your art will be shit no matter what medium you use, and vice-versa. You still have to HAND PAINT the work, it is not done by mouse clicks or anything.

Here is a good example: what would be the diffrence of a book which has been hand-written on paper, or typed on a computer?

Answer: the only difference would be the author would have spent much more time handwriting and correcting errors, than if he has used a computer. The final result would be the same, however.

Just for comparison, here is a conventional oil-on-canvas artwork done by the same artist, do you think it is much more superior?

Yes!

However, that is just my personal preference. I think that computer art is simply a different medium just like pencil, watercolors, charcoal, etc. The artist in question is obviously talented with both.
