Downloading now. It seems to be cool.
I'll be back with some feedback.

I'm sorry to say this, but listened to it a few times and didn't like it.
I know I might get banned for saying this, but I was expecting a much more aggressive sound.
Maybe is just the wrong moment for me to listen to this stuff, I'll give it a few more chances, but I don't know if this initial deception can be reversed.

Did you bother to read the review of the 12" on the Corroseum review section? Nowhere is it described as aggressive. Why were you expecting something thrashy or?

No, no. Not exactly thrashy, I didn't explain myself well, I guess. But for example, stuff like Inner Sanctum or Black Death. They are melodic, and non-thrashy, but they're pretty aggressive to me. I was expecting to get that sensation, even if the music was not in that vein. I'm talking about the sensation of aggresivity, which can be accomplished in very different ways. I guess that I can't express myself pretty well in english.

crap, I missed that.. :( - any chance for a reupload?? I know uploading all the different demos and comp. songs would be a pain in the ass for doomedplanet but maybe someone who downloaded it could put the whole "demos" folder (you all hopefully created  ) back up?

would be deeply grateful, I got the 12" recently and think it slays - with everyone here ranting about how great the demos are I definitely need to hear those..

I was listening to all the Tempest stuff I have found recently again and it's such a SHAME this band didn't make it to the big league. They were truly worth it. This is first-class progressive metal.

I've listened to the demos quite often over the last weeks and must strongly second what Helm said. Awesome stuff from beginnig to end!

on the other hand: more success for the band would have been desirable but as things went, here we have some real hidden gems (besides "The Voice Inside", not even mentioned on Metal Archives  ) that could stand representative for the Supremacy of the Obscure

there's another release ("Heavy Metal" CD) that seems still available through the band's website, gonna check that soon - even if the follow-up band, Seducer, doesn't sound too promising judging from their myspace.

sargotan, I got their CD in the mail a week ago. Listened to it once, so I can't say, but they do a sorta heavy-handed version of the Voice Inside there that I am not sure builds on the original in a good way. I will reserve judgment until I've listened to it enough.

just ordered the CD myself (Th. Dierks wrote in his email the sound wasn't too good as it is just a rough mix on CDR.. ) - will see. As long as it sounds not as Crossover as Seducer, I guess I won't be too dissapointed.

btw, I was quite keen on the Tempest Shirt they also offer.. 8)
