Metal meets football / hooliganism

Post by Blood RED »

Yea I just wrote it before in Poisonoise section...

I need your help for making a song list of metal songs related with football / hooliganism.

Well I know Frenzy's Blackburn Rovers 7'' and I have Hellrazer 7'' as NWOBHM.
I have Bulldozer's song The Derby about Milan!
I like Saxon's Run for your lives. In the end of the song there's a vocal section "aeeeeoo..." That part is a chant for Italian fans. Don't know which is older, song or the chant?

And there should be plenty from Latin America, Scandinavia, Balkans, Germany...

Thin Lizzy - For Those Who Love To Live

About and dedicated to George Best. Maybe not exactly what you're looking for, but it's the only football related song I remember.

There is a Dutch punk band called STOICHKOV which sings exclusively about him. Their biggest hit, called HRISTO of course, can be heard [H E R E]

Also on second IMPULSE album there is a soccer anthem glorifying the 4th place of the Bulgarian team at World cup 1994 - a very sleazy turbo-folk-metal shit, avoid if possible

Surely Tankard have a song about Eintracht Frankfurt?
Why are a wise man & a wise guy opposites?

I think they even made MCD to celebrate them.

they covered the club's anthem "Schwarz-weiss wie Schnee" and now it is the official version that is played before Eintracht's home matches.

saw them "live" performing it playback before the 2006 cup final against Bayern here in Olympiastadion (supporting the others, though!)

on that MCD is another football chant "Eurobbapokal" :D and a Cock Sparrer cover (We're coming back).

May I ask, where I can find it ? Haven't seen this CDs in normal record/CD shops like Sound Pollution or others in the St:Eriksgatan. I know in Gamla Stan a football accessories shop, but it was closed when I was there the last time.

If I don't find it with my next visit, I would come back for your offer.
